Upon graduating from college in 2005, I went into financial services, initially specializing in audits and due diligence reviews for various public companies. I obtained a C.P.A. license in 2007, and then went to work in private equity finance at the world’s largest bank, where I had a court-side seat to the financial crisis. That experience led me to Fordham University School of Law in 2010, and upon graduating in 2013, I spent the next five years at boutique litigation firms prosecuting commodity and securities fraud, as well as various antitrust violations.
While I enjoyed the challenge of litigating against some the most revered financial institutions, I found myself longing for change. Inspired by a group of friends working as freelance artists near my home in Park Slope, Brooklyn, I made the difficult decision to walk away from complex litigation. I started this firm in 2018 to help ensure that freelancers and small businesses are properly protected and fairly compensated under the law. My practice has since expanded, but fighting for the rights of individuals and their businesses will always be at the heart of my practice.
